Position Description:
This part-time position performs functions assigned by the Nurse Manager or Office Coordinator for the coordination of activities, specific clinic functions and office management.
Key Tasks - Conduct inventory and ordering of supplies and equipment - Prepare forms and supplies for Wednesday clinic and monthly specialty clinic - Manage patient files, to include: filing, filling requests for records, rotating outdated files to storage area, and medical records - Schedule, confirm, and cancel patient appointments - Assist with Referral Fund applications - Assist with Diabetes Education and medication program bills (vouchers, bulk/stock meds) - Manage and organize office files (both paper and computer files) - Order and display educational materials at the clinic - Assist with orientation and scheduling of volunteers, other than physicians - Assist with making referrals to non medical resources - Attend all Catholic Charities staffing events and relate necessary information to the clinic - Perform other duties as assigned
Key Skills - Medical Background, preferred - Bilingual in both Spanish and English, required - Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills - Experience building and utilizing leadership volunteers - Problem solving and decision making abilities - Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities and meet deadlines - PC literate with PowerPoint, Word, Excel
