We invite all people to apply to become volunteers at Catholic Charities. Our mission is Catholic Charities' mission:
The mission of Catholic Charities is to bring Christ’s merciful love to those who suffer in our midst. Our mission is carried out by Catholic people and others in fraternal goodwill pooling their resources to reach out and assist those in need. In so doing, Catholic Charities is the primary instrument.
Catholic Charities helps those in need without regard to their religion, race or country of origin. We value all human life, and we treat each person we serve with respect and dignity. We are a major provider of social and human services to tens of thousands each year in Eastern Oklahoma.
In carrying out this mission we rely on and support those who volunteer. Catholic Charities is the "primary instrument" but it takes volunteers to take that instrument in their capable and loving hands and put it to use. Catholic Charities supports the volunteers who do much of the hands-on work and ministry of this mission.
One question we are often asked is, "Do I need to be Catholic to Volunteer?" The answer is NO. Like those we serve, we encourage volunteers of any religion, race and/or country of origin. Less than 10% of those we serve are Catholic, and likewise there are many non-Catholics who volunteer their time and talent. Many of our volunteers have been touched in some way by Catholic Charities and have now chosen volunteering as a way to give back.
Catholic Charities interviews, screens and does background checks to ensure the safety of our employees, other volunteers and those we serve. All volunteers who have contact with children and/or youth must also complete the Virtus training offered by the Catholic Diocese of Tulsa.

We are grateful to all our volunteers for the many hours and diverse ways in which they serve God's people. Thanks for considering Catholic Charities as a way to serve. If you have questions, contact Volunteer Resources at volunteer@CatholicCharitiesTulsa.org or 918.949.HOPE (4673). We look forward to working with you.
As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God's varied grace. Whoever preaches, let it be with the words of God; whoever serves, let it be with the strength that God supplies, so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
